About the Answer Structure Optimizer
Answer engines and search features lift short, complete answers. This tool lists the question headings on a page and checks which ones are followed by a 20-80 word answer paragraph, whether the topic is defined in one plain sentence, and whether steps and comparisons use lists or tables.
It also compares FAQPage/QAPage markup with the visible text. Markup for questions that are not shown on the page breaks the search engines' structured data policies, so that is reported as an error.
How it works
- We fetch the URL from our server like a crawler: redirects are followed (up to five), private and internal addresses are refused, and large pages are capped.
- The checks run on the live HTML and response headers. Nothing is guessed: every finding shows what we observed.
- Results are not stored unless you are signed in, in which case they appear in your dashboard history.
Frequently asked questions
Will FAQ markup get me a rich result?
Not necessarily. Google shows FAQ rich results only for a small set of authoritative sites. Correct markup still helps machines read your Q&A content.
