GEO Audit

Readiness for AI search: crawler access, entity markup, citations and clarity.

About the GEO Audit

Generative search products answer from pages they can crawl and understand. The GEO audit checks the measurable parts: robots.txt access for AI search crawlers, indexability, entity markup with sameAs, outbound citations, dates and a clear summary.

It does not claim to know what any AI system currently says about you. That requires querying the AI products themselves through approved APIs, which we will label clearly as measured or simulated.

How it works

  • We fetch the URL from our server like a crawler: redirects are followed (up to five), private and internal addresses are refused, and large pages are capped.
  • The checks run on the live HTML and response headers. Nothing is guessed: every finding shows what we observed.
  • Results are not stored unless you are signed in, in which case they appear in your dashboard history.

Frequently asked questions

Is blocking GPTBot bad for GEO?

Not necessarily. GPTBot is OpenAI's training crawler; ChatGPT search uses OAI-SearchBot. You can allow search crawlers while blocking training crawlers.
