Meta Tag Analyzer

Title, description, robots and language tags, checked against common display limits.

About the Meta Tag Analyzer

Search results show roughly 50–60 characters of a title and 150–160 of a description, depending on pixel width. This tool measures both and flags missing, duplicate or truncated tags.

It also reads meta robots and the X-Robots-Tag header, so an accidental noindex is caught before it costs traffic.

How it works

  • We fetch the URL from our server like a crawler: redirects are followed (up to five), private and internal addresses are refused, and large pages are capped.
  • The checks run on the live HTML and response headers. Nothing is guessed: every finding shows what we observed.
  • Results are not stored unless you are signed in, in which case they appear in your dashboard history.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Google rewrite my title?

Google may replace titles that are too long, stuffed with keywords or that don't match the page. A concise, accurate title is rewritten less often.
