About the Backlink Checker
Enter the page that should link to you and your URL or domain. We fetch the live page and look for an actual link, then report the anchor text, rel attributes and whether the source page is noindex or canonicalised elsewhere.
An embedded video or a plain-text mention is reported but not counted as a link. To find links you don't know about, you need a crawler index; this tool verifies the ones you do.
How it works
- We fetch the URL from our server like a crawler: redirects are followed (up to five), private and internal addresses are refused, and large pages are capped.
- The checks run on the live HTML and response headers. Nothing is guessed: every finding shows what we observed.
- Results are not stored unless you are signed in, in which case they appear in your dashboard history.
Frequently asked questions
Is a nofollow link worthless?
Search engines treat nofollow, sponsored and ugc as hints. Such links can still bring visitors and may be considered, but they usually pass less credit.
